Home to Seaview Key by Sherryl Woods is a delightful continuation of the series started in Seaview Inn (2008).  We meet Abby, Hannah’s childhood friend and Luke’s teenage love, when she moves back to this small island community.  Sherryl has a way of creating communities and characters you come to love and believe in.  I felt for Hannah as her struggles with self-confidence continue as they deal with her health issues and Abby’s return.  Seth is a charmer who struggles comparing Abby to his sister as they deal with their financial differences.

I couldn’t help but root for Abby and Seth as they found their way to love and forever.  I love that Sherryl creates worlds you wish you could go visit and characters you follow, hoping their stories will continue and intertwine as new books come out.  Abby returns to Seaview Key after her marriage ends having become a successful business woman, active in her community and leader in her church; she heads back to her childhood home hoping to find some of the peace and friendship she had once known there.

As a reader, I hope that Sherryl Woods will continue her pattern of creating long running series of beautiful communities and characters.  If this is your first introduction to her definitely pick up this series but don’t stop there.  Pick up her Sweet Magnolias or Chesapeake Shores series both are long running series of novels you will not want to put down.  Pick up a hot cup of cocoa or tea and settle in for a good read.
