Alexandr’s Cherished Submissive  is the story of Alexandr and Jessica. Alexandr is coerced into becoming Jessica’s bodyguard in the beginning. He strives to keep a distance between them because he is a killer who lives in a dangerous world of mafias.

It is an audiobook that took several tries to get into the story. I will say though that if you can get past the first few chapters it does become quite interesting and quicker paced.

I doubt I will listen to this book again though by the end I am tempted to look up the next book in this series. The next book should be out soon, Alexandr’s Reluctant Submissive, since this book definitely ends in a cliffhanger that is a good thing.

The narrator Edo De Angelis has a very heavy accent in this book. Since the accent does fit the book with it being Russian I wouldn’t necessarily call that a negative but it is very noticible throughout and does not become part of the background. Interestingly enough there were two narrators in this book Edo De Angelis and Stephanie Wyles. They portrayed the two main characters Alexandr and Stephanie. The choice to do this is an interesting one and both narrators are well chosen. I do wish that later in the book when it was primarily Jessica the narrator had stayed with her instead of being primarily Edo De Angelis throughout.
